Saving Meghan by D.J. Palmer
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
OMG, This was a emotional roller coaster read. I cried a couple of times, got mad and questioned myself throughout this book. This is was exciting and had a few twists that i didn't see coming. There is nothing worse when you question yourself and your sanity and this is exactly what the two main characters went through. What do you do when those you are supposed to trust betray you? AWESOME book and characters. They feed off of each other both good and bad. A must read. I wouldn't mind seeing this in a movie format. Hmm?

The Wife Between Us by Greer Hendricks
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
An absolutely amazing book. So many twists and turns it will make your head spin. I really am not eloquent with words but even if I was I don't think I could ever put into words how wonderfully written this book was. If life hadn't got in the way i would have finished the book the same day.

A Cajun Christmas Killing by Ellen Byron
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Oh my what an awesome read. Ellen Byron is a new author for me. This was an exciting and fun read, a lot of twist and turns that left me guessing. I haven't given a 5 star review in a while, that's how good this book is. Although this is the third book in the Cajun Country Mystery it makes for a good stand alone. I liked this book so much that I am looking forward to reading the first and second in this series.
Love the characters and the charm this book exudes, it was interesting and kept me riveted until the last page. The plot was different than most cozies, it was a puzzle, a true who dunnit.

Cat Got Your Secrets by Julie Chase
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
This series gets better and better. The characters are easy to relate to and they are funny. I can actually picture what everyone looks like. I like Julie Chase's series, "Kitty Couture Mystery" and I am looking for the next installment. I love the fact that the story flows easily and you have a Mystery within a mystery. This time Lacy's father is accused and she will do anything and pay anything to find the real killer to prove her father's innocents. This time the price may just be her life.

Beautiful and heartbreaking. This has love, jealousy and beauty all wrap up in this one novel. When you try to protect those you love and it all comes falling down but in the end love, hope and courage wins out. Great read

A Whistling Woman by Louise Shivers
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
It took me a while to read this book. I would start it and put it back down. i just couldn't get interested in it. Then finally I started to read it again and I am so glad I did. I am so glad I didn't give up on it. Surprising twist and turns, although it started slow, I gave it a four because the rest of the book was just amazing.

I honestly can't believe I am giving this a 5 star. This is not my genre of reading but I got hooked. This is extremely well written and believable. It was exciting and emotional and Love, love the characters. Demons and Angels, I couldn't believe I actually enjoyed reading this. Jamie McGuire holds your attention and at times I believe I held my breath. I am looking forward to the second book. Even if it's not your normal genre, you might want to get out of your comfort zone and read this, it's that good.

Fixin' To Die by Tonya Kappes
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Writing this review is taking longer than actually reading the book. How do you put into words the enjoyment of reading a good southern mystery? This series takes place in the state of Kentucky, small town life, the gossiping and just good old fashion manners. Small town, where everyone knows more about you than you do yourself...
This witty and just downright fun to read, you have a young female sheriff stumbling, trying to prove to the town that she is the one for the job. Her first real case is a murder of a well know doctor.
Kenni has to prove to the town that she can do this but first she has to prove to herself that she is confident and more than qualified to do this job.
This book is just like the Kentucky back roads, the twists and turns in it takes you places you never knew existed. hidden just like a killer hidden in the community that no one would have ever suspected.

Cat Got Your Cash by Julie Chase
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
This series is set in New Orleans so that in itself is colorful.
This is the second book of the Kitty Couture Mystery. I have not read the first in the series, " Cat Got Your Diamonds", but you don't need to read it first to understand the second book.
I just absolutely enjoyed this book, it was funny, witty and full of surprises. The characters are the type that anyone at some time in their life can relate to. They are colorful, mystical and Julie really brings them to life.
It was easy to follow and had a nice flow. Packed full of action and I just didn't want to put it down. I am so looking forward to the third book.
There are recipes also for the cat lovers also.
